In 2019 Harrogate will celebrate a cycling first - the hosting of the UCI Road World Championships in Yorkshire with every race finishing in Harrogate, next to the town’s iconic Stray.
Throughout the year a series of events and installations will celebrate Harrogate’s role in welcoming the best of World Cycling, and its global audience to our special part of Yorkshire.

The town of Harrogate came of age as the definitive spa destination of Victorian England, and welcomed visitors from across the globe to enjoy its therapeutic spa waters and treatments, while offering the finest by way of relaxation and entertainment.
What better place to Welcome the World in 2019?
The races will take place from 21 – 29 September 2019 with hundreds of elite cycling athletes competing for the right to wear the coveted Rainbow Jersey, and the Harrogate Welcomes the World programme begins in early 2019.
